Zeotrope is a Cincinnati-based progressive bluegrass trio blending traditional, folk, jazz, psychedelic, and jam. Forming in early 2025, the group began at the Stanley's Pub bluegrass jam with guitarist Tommy Hirsch and mandolinist Mikey Quigley. The two quickly bonded over their love of "Old & In The Way". The two brought in the trained jazz upright bass stylings of Mason Daugherty. The group is frequently accompanied by violinist Cole Smith.
